Retail Productivity Specialist

The Retail Productivity Specialist Training Programme (RPS) is a new and completely revamped programme with refreshed and up to date curriculum and materials. It is designed primarily for retail practitioners and professionals who are keen to deepen their capability to lead and manage productivity improvements in their organization or to pursue a productivity specialist career specialized in retail. This programme builds on the foundation of four successful runs of the Certified Productivity Consultant (CPC) Training Programme with a total of 90 graduates since 2013 The RPS is supported by SPRING Singapore aims to train and equip participants with the competencies to support and facilitate the productivity upgrading efforts of companies in the retail sector. Participants who successfully complete the programme will be jointly certified by the Singapore Productivity Centre and Japan Productivity Center (JPC).Singapore Productivity Centre (SGPC) is a national competency centre to help drive enterprise productivity for sustained growth and competitiveness. It focuses on Retail, F&B and Hotel sectors, and is supported by the National Productivity Council, SPRING Singapore and Singapore Tourism Board.

JPC is the lead national productivity organisation in Japan and the Asian Productivity Organization (APO) network. As one of the forerunners in productivity, JPC has extensive experience in delivering consultancy services across sectors and sizes of companies. It has also been conducting productivity consultancy training courses since 1958.

Programme Objectives:
At the end of this Programme, the participants will be able to:
• Review and diagnose the company’s business model
• Diagnose the company’s performance and usage of technologies
• Perform analysis of the company’s critical factor for success
• Provide solutions using appropriate tools and techniques
• Sustain the company’s productivity performance (productivity level and growth rate)

• Classroom sessions
• Two consultancy projects in local retail companies

• How to be a Global Retailer

Module 3: Develop Consulting Capability
• One consultancy project in a local retail company

Module 4: Enhance Knowledge & Skills in Retail Productivity Framework, Methodology, Tools & Techniques
• Innovation and Technology Applications for Productivity Improvement
• Innovations for virtual and real store integration
• Sustain the company’s productivity performance (through Data driven, evidence based retail management in association with KPI management)

Module 5: Develop Consulting Capability II
• 2nd consultancy project in a local retail company
